Book Blogger Hop: Dec 6 – 13

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is currently being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Every Friday, a new question is posted for book bloggers to answer in the coming week. The purpose of the hop is connection and community. You can discover new blogs to follow, new books to read, and you may end up with some new followers, as well!

And the question of the week iiiissss…

I do keep my unread books separate from my read books, though this is a more recent phenomenon. When we moved, one of our bookcases was broken, so books needed to be shuffled around. I stuck one of our smaller bookcases in our bedroom and I decided I would use it solely for unread books. I do most of my reading in bed, so it just made sense. I went into it thinking I probably wouldn’t fill up the entire bookcase.

Hahahahahahahaha xD

I was delusional.

That bookcase is currently filled to bursting with more books stacked on top. And I just keep buying more! Staring at that poor, overworked bookcase has influenced my reading plans for 2020. I’ve decided to put myself on a book buying ban next year. The only exception will be my BotM subscription, but I will only be picking one book. No tempting add-ons! I’ve also decided that I will focus on reading books from my TBR bookcase, not just buying everything I see. I do plan to read new releases, but I’m going to try and utilize my library more and perhaps save the ones I really want to request for my birthday/holidays.

How do you organize your bookcases? Do you separate your read from your unread? Let me know in the comments!

And, as always, happy reading!
