In Other Words #5

Another Sunday and another weekend closer to Christmas! This was a pretty busy, yet enjoyable week, but I’m definitely getting into my pre-holiday scramble mode. This is why I shouldn’t wait til the last minute to get all my Christmas stuff done…

But, before my brain is consumed by all the things I still need to get done, let’s get to this wrap-up!

Last Week’s Posts

Life Outside the Blogosphere

This past week was a whirlwind of Christmas related events! We went to our neighborhood holiday party, my husband and I went Christmas shopping, my work had their Christmas party… just lots of holiday stuff going on! Speaking of my work’s Christmas party, we exchanged our secret Santa gifts and, y’all… look at my gift:

A absolutely love them! They are super warm and soft and just fun xD

We also finally put our Christmas tree up over the weekend and our little apartment finally looks festive! I’ve already noticed the cats hanging around the tree, though. I’m surprised we haven’t found any ornaments on the floor. Yet.

Our last Christmas themed engagement was the play that my son had a part in. He had one show Friday night and two shows both Saturday and Sunday. It was just… a lot of running around and I am a tired mama. He had a ton of fun, though, and all the kids were just so cute! We actually got to watch the show on Saturday and it was really amazing, especially considering that this is a local community theater. I am super excited that we can have our weekends back, though.

As for next week, it’s looking like it will be a lot more chill than this past week. Holiday parties are over and we won’t be traveling for Christmas, so next week will just be us finishing up getting ready for the holiday the week after. Which I can’t believe Christmas is that close! As stated before, I AM NOT READY @_@ It’s okay… we’ll get everything next week and all will be well. *fingers crossed*

Random Stuff

Song of the Week:

They turned Christmas music on at work, so now I’ve been listening to it all the time. This is one of my favorite Christmas songs and this version is definitely the best.

Factoid of the Week:

“The first artificial Christmas Tree wasn’t a tree at all. It was created out of goose feathers that were dyed green.”

Have a great week, everyone!

And, as always, happy reading!
