I haven’t done a book tag in awhile, so I went snooping through blogs to see if one caught my eye. I found this seasonal book tag over at Kristin @ Kristin Kraves Books and it looked like fun! I’m solidly in the Christmas spirit now that our tree is up and there are some presents under the tree, so a Christmas tag just seemed fitting. With that said, let’s jump in!
A fictional family you would like to spend Christmas dinner with?
This is cliche af, but I would love to hang out with the Weasley’s on Christmas! Time spent at The Burrow was always some of my favorite parts of the Harry Potter series. I love Molly and Arthur and their house and their kids and just everything! Also, we could do fun, magical Christmas things.
A bookish item you would like to receive as a gift?
I’ve been wanting a Kindle for a hot minute. I use the Kindle app on my iPad, but it’s an older, heavy, clunkier model. I want something more portable now that I’m reading more e-books. I know there are other e-book readers, but this is the one that I crave. I have dropped hints, so we shall see!
Bah Humbug. A book or fictional character you’ve been disappointed in and should be put on the naughty list?
Sigh. I still need to write my review for this book. I don’t know what I was expecting going into this book, tbh. But I know I expected… more. It was dark, it was gothic, but I feel like it was lacking something fundamental. I wanted to love it so much and was let down. I mean, I liked it, but I wanted to love it! So disappoint.
A book or a fictional character you think deserves more love and appreciation and deserve to be put on the nice list?
I think the entire Enchanted Forest Chronicles deserves more love! I loved this series as a kid. I don’t remember how I discovered the first book, but I quickly devoured the rest afterwards. It’s delightful and whimsical. It helps that the main character is a kick-ass princess who needs no saving. Ugh, I love these books so much.
Red, Gold and Green. A book cover that has a wonderfully Christmasy feel to it.
This is one of the few books I own that has a Christmasy feel to it and, funnily enough, also one of my few books that has a Christmas theme. It’s also hilarious, so there’s that!
A book or series you love so much, you want everyone to find under their Christmas tree this year so they can read it and love it too?
I love The Great Library series so much, I want to shove it at everyone I know! This is another series that has really flown under the radar. It’s a thrilling ride that describes what the world might have been if the Great Library at Alexandria had never burned to the ground. It’s so thought-provoking and intense and I love it! If I could buy it for everyone, I would!
