Book Blogger Hop: Jan 3 – 9

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is currently being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Every Friday, a new question is posted for book bloggers to answer in the coming week. The purpose of the hop is connection and community. You can discover new blogs to follow, new books to read, and you may end up with some new followers, as well!

This Week’s Question

Boy, do I! As a new blogger, I’m constantly seeing things that I would like to incorporate into my blog and ways I can improve. I’m trying to not push myself too much in my first year of blogging. I think what I’m focusing on the most right now is consistency. I don’t want to start slacking when I just started! With that in mind, I’ve got two main goals for my blogging year:

  1. Post at least one book review a week
  2. Come up with a consistent posting schedule

I have a lot of books that need reviewing, so I should be able to get at least one book review done a week. If I do more, that will just be a bonus! I’m focusing on just one for now because I’m still developing my reviewing style. I’m finding my groove and I want to make sure that my reviews continue to improve. I want to make sure I put thought into it and put out some quality stuff!

As for a posting schedule, I think I have a set schedule of what I’m posting, it will help with my actual posts. Sometimes I sit and stare at the screen and have absolutely NO idea what I want to write! Having a schedule for a least one post a day will hopefully help with that as well as keep me consistent. I’m still trying to decide what that schedule will look like, but I’ve got some ideas!

So, if you’re a blogger, do you have any 2020 blogging goals? Perhaps you’re thinking about starting a blog? Let me know in the comments!

And, as always, happy reading!
