WWW Wednesday: Apr 22, 2020

It’s time for another WWW Wednesday! This is a bookish meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words where bloggers answer the 3 Ws:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

If you’d like to learn more about any of these books, click on the cover to be taken to the Goodreads page.

Current Reads

The Whisper Man by Alex North: I just picked this one up today and I am already super curious as to what is going on. Definitely something incredibly messed up… I’ve heard that this one is pretty frightening, so I’m excited to get further into the story! I was a little thrown off that only one prospective is in first person, but I’m sure that will make sense later? Yeah, we’ll go with that.

Recently Finished

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne: This book took me what felt like forever to read and, honestly, I’m not sure why. I enjoyed it while I was reading it. It was humorous and touching and made me feel pretty much all the feelings. Yet, whenever I set it down, I had the hardest time making myself pick it back up! But at least I finally checked off one of my O.W.L.s for the Magical Readathon 😅

The Vine Witch by Luanne G. Smith: And this is counts as my second O.W.L. checked off! It was a fun read and definitely kept me on my toes. I loved the descriptions of the witchcraft and the vineyards! The romance, however, was… less than great. I’ll get into it more when I get around to my review!

What’s Next

Nimona by Noelle Stevenson: I’ve been wanting to read this graphic novel since it was released, but just never picked it up. Then, as I was looking for a book to finish my last O.W.L. (Transfiguration), I remembered that the main character was a shapeshifter. A book I’ve been wanting to read and my last O.W.L. checked off! The stars have aligned and now it’s time to finally pick this one up.

Disenchanted by Brianna Sugalski: I discovered this book through Storytellers On Tour. It sounded like it would be a fun, escapist fantasy read, so I signed up to be part of the blog tour. I’m so thankful that I was selected to participate! I’m excited to dig into this one and see what I think!

What are reading right now? Finished any new favorites recently? Let me know in the comments!

And, as always, happy reading!
