It’s time for another WWW Wednesday! This is a bookish meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words where bloggers answer the 3 Ws:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
If you’d like to learn more about any of these books, click on the cover to be taken to the Goodreads page.
Current Reads
Disenchanted by Brianna Sugalski: I’m about 20% into this book, but I’m enjoying it! I’m really liking the main character, Lilac. She’s pretty feisty and take charge, which I appreciate in my heroines. The setting is intriguing, as well. The pace seems a bit slow at the moment, but, again, I’m only 20% in! I’m excited to keep reading.
Recently Finished
The Whisper Man by Alex North: Maaaaaan, this book messed me up! I thought I knew what was going on, but NOPE. This was a fun, freaky journey and I really enjoyed it. I also loved the look at a single father raising his son. It made me think back to my single parent days and I remember feeling a lot of the same feelings as Tom. It was a connection I wasn’t expecting to find in a thriller!
Nimona by Noelle Stevenson: I read this graphic novel in one night. I stayed up way too late reading it. I couldn’t stop once I started! This was so. damn. GOOD! The art was superb. The story was engaging and incredible. And there were SO MANY FEELINGS! The book is still chilling on my bedside table and I have to talk myself out of picking it up and re-reading it every night. SO. GOOD.
What’s Next
Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis: I’m part of The Write Reads blog tour for this beauty and I’m pumped to start it! I’m in a real thriller mood and this sounds like it’s going to be right up that alley. Also, I’m a lover of horror movie, so the premise of this book just sucked me in! I’ll be starting this one this weekend so I can be prepared for my tour date.
So what books are you reading this week? Finished any new favorites? Did you do your own WWW Wednesday post? Let me know in the comments!
And, as always, happy reading!
