One of the best things about these award tags is discovering new blogs and getting to know people in the blogging community better. So I always appreciate when I’m tagged, even if I’m terrible at keeping on top of it 😅 Better late than never, right?

Questions:

#1. What is the one thing you like about my blog? What is the one thing you don’t? (Sorry, I just really want feedback from my readers)

Don’t apologize! Feedback is always nice since it can help you make your blog everything you want it to be. Let’s see… I really love the variety of posts that Riddhi puts on her blog! There are reviews, tags, discussion posts. Pretty much something for everyone! One thing I don’t like? That’s harder… um… Oh! I can’t figure out how to like your posts? That’s probably more of a “I’m bad at blogging” thing than anything wrong with your site, though, lol. Honestly, I really enjoy both the look and the content of your blog, Riddhi!

#2. Where do you see yourself five years from now?

Exactly where I am right now, if I’m being honest. We just bought our house this year and I plan on living here until they bury me in the ground 😂 I really love my job and don’t see myself wanting to leave anytime in the next five years, either. Perhaps I’ll have moved up the rungs… maybe Microbiology Supervisor? I’d be super okay with that! As for my blog, hopefully it’ll look prettier and I’ll be more consistent with my posting. I would like to think I’ll have my blogging shit together by five years, lol.

#3. What do you think will be your next 5-star read?

#4. One piece of advice you wish you had when you started blogging?

Don’t go ham requesting ARCs!! I mean… I saw this advice before I really started blogging, but I wish I had actually followed it 😅 I found myself quickly swamped and it caused a lot of undue stress! Blogging is a hobby (at least for me) and a hobby should be fun, right? I was stressing so much about getting to my ARCs in a timely manner that I wasn’t having as much fun as I could have been. I’m still trying to find a good balance, but I’m definitely much better than I was at the beginning!

Another bit of advice (I know, I’m cheating!) is to try and find a group of like-minded bloggers to chat with regularly. It makes the entire blogging experience ten times better! I can’t tell you how much The Write Reads gang has helped me and made me feel like I’m legitimately a part of the bookish community 💖💖💖

#5. How do you treat a reading slump?

Cry? Hahaha, jk, jk!

Unless…

For real, though, I usually try to take a step back and stop pushing myself. I typically get into reading slumps because I force myself to finish books I’m not enjoying and then I just don’t want to read. Or because I read an incredible book and nothing compares afterwards. Looking at you, The Poppy War. I also try picking up a book that I consider an “easy” read, like a light-hearted graphic novel or a whimsical middle grade fantasy. Something I’m pretty sure I’m gonna love. After reading a few of those, I’m usually good to go!

#6. Do you aspire to write a book someday?

*glances at all her half-finished NaNoWriMo projects*

I mean, it’s not outside the realm of possibilities, but it’s definitely not a life goal, ya know? Mostly cause I start to hate everything I write about… halfway through writing it 😅 Once I figure out how to turn off my inner critic, perhaps it would become more of an aspiration.

#7. One person who inspires you?

I’m gonna be kind of cliché and say my dad. He worked so hard to change the direction of his life when he was younger. He loves my mom so much that it makes your teeth hurt a little bit, lol. Though he was strict, looking back, he was an incredible dad for my brother and I. He’s a great grandpa and he’s always calling to see if there’s anything we need. I just think it’s so easy for people to go with the flow and much harder to take yourself in a new, better direction. That he did it and made so much of his life so far is definitely inspiring to me 💕

#9. What is one thing that you love about the book blogging community?

Oof, only one? Let’s see… I think I’ll go with the fact that most people in the book blogging community are so supportive! If you have any questions, whether it’s about post types or more technical issue, you can go to the community and they’ll be quick to answer them for you. And they’re so supportive of new bloggers especially! It’s been such a treat joining this wonderful community and finding such awesome people 💖

#10. What are your top 3 favorite fictional cities/kingdoms/regions?
