I’m back with another book tag! I was tagged by the wonderful Danni @ _ForBooksSake to do the This or That Book Tag. She is one of my favorite bloggers and my go-to when I need a thriller or horror recommendation! You should definitely go check out her blog. Thank you so much for the tag, Danni ❤
This tag was created by Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks and it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, so let’s get to it!
- Mention the creator of the tag
- Thank the blogger who tagged you!
- Tag other people to do the tag and spread the love!
Reading on the couch or on the bed?
Lately, I’ve been gravitating towards reading on the couch. Mostly because, when I read in bed, I end up falling asleep 😂 That can be dangerous (and painful) when you’re reading a chonky one!
Sweet or salty snacks while reading?
If I’m snacking and reading, I typically lean towards salty snacks. Not because I love salty snacks more than sweet ones. I have a huge sweet tooth! But most of the sweet treats I like can be a bit messy to eat and I ain’t trying to get ice cream on my books. So we go with salty, lol.
Trilogies or quartets?
Though I do love even numbers, there is something about a trilogy that just hits different. I think it’s the perfect length for a series! Enough books to satisfy but not so many that I start to lose interest, ya know? Of course, there are exceptions (high fantasy, mostly), but I tend to love trilogies the most.
First person or third person POV?
Honestly, I don’t have a strong preference either way. If I have to choose… I guess I’ll go with third person. I like being able to potentially see multiple perspectives.
Night or morning reader?
Definitely a night reader! I don’t have time to read in the morning if I’m working and, when I’m not, I prefer to catch up on sleep. Though I have been known to sneak downstairs occasionally before everyone else is awake and sneak in a few pages while it’s nice and quiet.
Libraries or bookstores?
How dare you make me choose! Um… though I love a good bookstore (especially indie bookstores!), they are also quite damaging to my bank account. So I’m going to go with libraries! All the wonderful book browsing/reading without so much money flying out of my pocket, lol.
Books that make you laugh or cry?
Ooo, that’s a tough question. It really depends on my mood, though I think I lean more towards books that might make me cry. I love when a book can make me laugh, but a book that can make me cry hits an emotional note that will make it stick in my brain for a lot longer.
Black or white covers?
I feel like I have a pretty even mix of the two. I think, however, that I tend to lean more towards darker covers. We’ll go with black *nod*
Character driven or plot driven?
CHARACTER DRIVEN! I mean, it still needs a plot, but I can love a character driven book that maybe lacks in the plot department. I can’t love a plot driven book that doesn’t have at least one well-developed character. I need that connection, y’all!
