Hello, reader!
I’m doing another BBNYA spotlight today. It’s been such a blast to be able to celebrate all these semi-finalists and discover some books that may have slipped onto my TBR. For instance, the book I’m featuring today that grabbed my attention with the first line of the synopsis: Skullsinger by Rey S. Morfin! But before we get into the post, let’s talk more about this spotlight tour and BBNYA in general.
This year, the Book Bloggers’ Novel of the Year Award (BBNYA) is celebrating the 65 books that made it into Round Two with a mini spotlight blitz tour for each title. BBNYA is a yearly competition where book bloggers from all over the world read and score books written by indie authors, ending with 10 finalists and one overall winner.
If you want some more information about BBNYA, check out the BBNYA Website https://www.bbnya.com/ or take a peek over on Twitter @BBNYA_Official. BBNYA is brought to you in association with the @Foliosociety (if you love beautiful books, you NEED to check out their website!) and the book blogger support group @The_WriteReads.

Synopsis
“It’s not every day that a vengeful god lays claim to your soul.
When Emlyn Graves woke up that morning, he thought he’d be doing what he always did: working the land, drinking at the inn, and warding off the agents of the tyrannical local baron.
But when his soul is corrupted by a new dark master, Emlyn is forced to use his god’s gifts to survive… and to fulfil a prophecy with the potential to change the world forever.
Emlyn’s choice is simple: embrace an eternity of infernal torment, or accept his fate, and become the worst kind of hero imaginable.
Skullsinger is a prequel to upcoming series The Soulslinger Chronicles.”

About the Author

Rey Morfin is a sci-fi and thriller author who lives and works in London, UK. As a kid, he was fascinated by the strange and the unexplained, and so it makes perfect sense that his books often contain speculative, paranormal, or science fiction elements.
He writes the ongoing space opera PI series A GALAXY, ALIVE, following sassy adventurer Syl Raynor as she navigates the stars, hunting her missing sister.
