The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is currently being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Every Friday, a new question is posted for book bloggers to answer in the coming week. The purpose of the hop is connection and community. You can discover new blogs to follow, new books to read, and you may end up with some new followers, as well!
This Week’s Question
What is the average number of books you read per month?
Submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews.
That’s a great question and, thankfully, I have a spreadsheet to help answer it. Otherwise I would have to dig through Goodreads!

This screenshot is taken from my 2021 reading spreadsheet that was originally created by G @ Book Roast! I love this spreadsheet because of all the nifty graphics and it incorporates her rating system, CAWPILE. I used it for the first time last year and really enjoyed it, so it’s back again for 2022!
But that’s getting away from the question at hand. As you can see, my reading fluctuates quite a bit from month to month. Averaging it out, I read about 9-10 (9.5, to be exact) books a month, which is definitely a lot more than it used to be! I used to be stoked if I could get through ten books in a year, let alone a month. That was before I found the bookish community and got my reading mojo back.
It’s funny looking at this chart now and thinking back over 2021. I can tell you exactly why I read the most books in August (Trope-ical Readathon) and why I read so few books in December (holidays are stressful, y’all). It seems like I tend to read more in the middle months of the year, as well. Except for June, but we went on vacation in June and I was busy doing family stuff. It’s funny how just looking at this chart brings back a lot of memories from the past year. Most of them quite lovely ❤
However, now I’m just rambling, lol. Let’s hope I can maintain this amounting of reading per month throughout 2022.
