It’s a bit late in the week for 5 On My TBR, but I really wanted to join in on this week’s theme! Why? Because it’s all about books I already own that are still chilling on my TBR. Which is… a lot. Like, over 300 a lot 😬 I wanted to take this opportunity to not only shame myself into reading more of my own books (#BeatTheBacklog, Kerri!) but to talk about some books I really want to read, but don’t mention nearly enough on the blog.
So, without further ado, let’s get to the post!
#1. Vicious by V.E. Schwab
I’ve been meaning to start this series for what feels like forever now. I genuinely have enjoyed everything I’ve read by V.E. Schwab, so I can’t see why this would be different! Plus, it’s a dark look at superheroes which sounds right up my alley. Should I be starting a new series when I’m in the middle of so many series? Probably not, but when has that ever stopped me before 😂
#2. An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
After reading Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson, I instantly became interested in reading everything else she’s ever written. Loved that freakin’ book! On that note, I picked up An Enchantment of Ravens off of Book Outlet. And then I shoved it one my bookshelf and promptly forgot about it, haha. Ah well… it’s still something I would love to read and I’m sure I’ll get to it soon.
#3. Sky Without Stars by Jessica Brody and Joanne Rendell
I got this book from Book of the Month club because I loved the cover. Then I bothered to look up what it was actually about and discovered it’s basically Les Misérables set in space! Sign me up! It’s also kind of a chonkster so ya girl is intimidated 😅 I do still really want to read it, though, and I have heard good things about the novel. Hopefully I’ll get to it sooner rather than later.
#4. The Book Charmer by Karen Hawkins
I read an excerpt of this book on the Bookish First website and instantly wanted to read the rest. I adored the small peek into this world that I got! I snagged it from somewhere (I can’t quite remember) and then, as happens more often than I care to admit, never read it. But at least I own it so I can read it when I want to. The part I read was so whimsical and intriguing. I’m excited to read more!
#5. One of Us Is Next by Karen M. McManus
This is the only Karen M. McManus book that I haven’t read yet. Well… of the ones that have been published! I’m eagerly awaiting her newest thriller, Nothing More to Tell, and the next book in the One of Us Is Lying series, One of Us Is Back. Which means I should probably read this one soon, shouldn’t I? I have loved everything I’ve read by her, so I’m fairly certain this one will be a hit, as well.

hope you enjoy these books when you get around to them. i really enjoyed vicious and an enchantment of ravens. one of us is lying wasn’t that great but the sequel is good.

I don’t know why I haven’t read it yet but One of Us Is Next is the only McManus book I still haven’t read yet but I’ve had it on my bookshelf since it was released 😂 Also, Vicious is so so good—one of my favourite books and series! I hope you love it 😍

I really need to get to Vicious sooner rather than later. I just know I’m gonna love it! V.E. Schwab does not miss for me!

Sky without Stars sounds amazing. I loved Vespertine by Margaret Robertson but haven’t read anything else by her. Hope you get round to these soon.
