The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is currently being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Every Friday, a new question is posted for book bloggers to answer in the coming week. The purpose of the hop is connection and community. You can discover new blogs to follow, new books to read, and you may end up with some new followers, as well!
This Week’s Question
What is your reading preference – fiction or nonfiction?
Submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer.
Hahaha, if you’ve been following my blog for any length of time, you’ll be able to answer this question for me!
For those who haven’t been around, I have always and will probably always prefer fiction. Specifically, I prefer fantasy, but all fiction is fair game in this household. I live in the real world and, especially lately, it’s kind of a dumpster fire, so I like to lose myself in books. I’m not saying a non-fiction novel can’t offer that escape, but my taste in non-fiction tends more towards… well… the macabre. Therefore, I need to be in the right mood to consume it.
There is an exception to that rule, as there usually is in life. I do love a good travel book or a non-fiction that deals with the outdoors a lot. Like A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. Which I highly recommend! I still have to be in the mood for non-fiction and it honestly doesn’t happen a lot, but these kinds of non-fiction and the previously mentioned darker stuff are what I’ll grab.
But on any given day? Toss me some fiction!
