Every Friday, a new question is posted for book bloggers to answer in the coming week. The purpose of the hop is connection and community. You can discover new blogs to follow, new books to read, and you may end up with some new followers, as well!
This Week’s Question
How many books do you buy per month?
Submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer.
Funnily enough, when I’m not even trying to be on a book buying ban, the amount of books I’ve bought recently has dropped drastically! Mostly life is deciding to be an expensive pain in my butt lately, but we’re hopefully getting over that hump. At the moment, I’m currently only purchasing one to two books a month. Both of those come from book subscription boxes, as well! Book of the Month and Illumicrate are keeping me in the book buying game but, other than that, I’ve been good about not purchasing a bunch of new books when I have so many I own and need to read.
Now, if you ask me about my library usage, this answer would be vastly different 😂 I consistently have at least three new books checked out from the library and I’ve been getting my money’s worth from my Scribd subscription! I’ve been eating up audiobooks lately and Scribd has been great for that. And I can’t walk into my library without checking out at least a book or two. That’s probably one of the reasons I’ve managed to go these last few months without buying books. Thank god for my local library!
Now, there are a few books I have pre-ordered that should be coming my way soon because there are a lot of books coming out in the next few months that I needed. And my soul is aching for a trip to the bookstore soon, so there will probably be a pile of new books in my house in the next few months.
