The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is currently being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Every Friday, a new question is posted for book bloggers to answer in the coming week. The purpose of the hop is connection and community. You can discover new blogs to follow, new books to read, and you may end up with some new followers, as well!
This Week’s Question
Have you taken a look at the website and app Litsy?

Ahhh, Litsy. I do have an account on that app/website, but I haven’t messed with it in ages. It’s not that I don’t like it. It’s a decent social media app geared towards books and reading! It’s kind of like Instagram, but solely focused on books. So lots of beautiful pictures and bookish people… my kind of place. But I went through A Moment when I was having severe social media burnout and I knew I had to trim down on all the accounts I was using. Litsy, unfortunately, didn’t make the cut.
Now that I think about it, though, I do kind of miss it. The community was incredibly welcoming, which is one of my favorite things about bookish spaces. I’ve always felt welcomed and it’s been pretty easy finding a place within the bookish community. There were a lot of beautiful book pictures to look at, as well, and that’s never a bad thing. I’m terrible at taking pretty pictures, though, and that was another reason I kind of stopped using the app. I felt like such a lurker because I hardly ever posted my own photos! I mean, look at my poor neglected Instagram account.
Who knows, though… now that it’s back in my head, I might have to give it another go.
I had never heard of it before this week. I shan’t be investigating though as I definitely do not need another social media account😳😳

I’d never heard of this app before reading another blogger hop post a couple days ago. Sounds interesting but there are just so many apps these days that it quickly becomes overwhelming. At least it does for me! 😂

That is the exact reason I stopped using it 😂 I had it before I really started using my Twitter for my blog and then it just got to be too much with Insta and Twitter and Litsy and blogging 😵 It was a fun app, though, so it’s definitely not its fault!
