The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is currently being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Every Friday, a new question is posted for book bloggers to answer in the coming week. The purpose of the hop is connection and community. You can discover new blogs to follow, new books to read, and you may end up with some new followers, as well!
This Week’s Question
Have you ever reread a book? If so, why did you decide to reread it?
Submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer.
I’m not one who re-reads her books a lot. Mostly I’m a one and done kind of girl. There are definitely a few books, though, that I re-read on a somewhat regular basis. The Westing Game is a childhood favorite that I love to pick up from time to time. I re-read Raybearer like four times the year it was released just because I love it so much! Those are probaby the two books I re-read the most, but I’ll pick up others if I have a good enough reason.
There are lots of reasons why I might decide to do a re-read. Perhaps I’ve found myself in a reading slump and I’m trying to pull myself out of it. Re-reading a favorite usually helps with that. Perhaps a book I’ve read has been picked for a buddy read or book club and I want to re-read it to refresh my memory. Or maybe I want to see if an old favorite stands up to the test of time. Those are the main reasons I’ll pick a book up that I’ve already read.
You’d think I wouldn’t hang on to all these books that I’m probably not going to re-read… but there’s always the possibility!
