It’s time for another WWW Wednesday! This is a bookish meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words where bloggers answer the 3 Ws:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?

Soul of the Deep by Natasha Bowen
So I’ve been sick for the last few days and that means my reading has taken a nosedive. I hate when a head cold gives me brain fog because I can’t focus on anything. That being said, though, the one book I’ve been trying to read through the haze is one. It’s the sequel to Skin of the Sea and, so far, it’s just as enthralling as the first book! I’m loving the development we’ve had so far and I’m eager to continue to see how it ends.
This is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone
Y’all, this book was SO GOOD! I don’t know how such a short story could make me root for two time warriors with all my heart, but it most certainly did. Blue and Red have taken up residence in the ‘favorite characters’ section of my brain and I don’t see them leaving anytime soon.
The Part About the Dragon Was (Mostly) True by Sean Gibson
This illness-induced reading slump is putting me in the mood for something quirky that’s going to make me laugh. I’ve read an excerpt from this book so I know for a fact that it will do the trick! I’ve wanted to read this since finishing that excerpt and now seems as good a time as any. Here’s hoping it’ll help clear the fog and get me back on the reading wagon. Even if it just gives me a few chuckles, though, I’ll be happy.
