The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is currently being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Every Friday, a new question is posted for book bloggers to answer in the coming week. The purpose of the hop is connection and community. You can discover new blogs to follow, new books to read, and you may end up with some new followers, as well!
This Week’s Question
Do you suggest new authors to your readers?
Submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer.
I like to think that I do! I mean, anytime I gush about a book I loved, that is a suggestion to others to pick it up. And I’m sure the author of said books haven’t been read by everyone that pops by my blog, so perhaps my gushing helps to suggest those authors to them.
I don’t think I’ve ever dedicated an entire post just to suggest an author, though. Most of the books I talk about on my blog are books that I’ve truly enjoyed. I like to keep my space positive, for the most part, so I usually only dedicated posts to books that left a good impression. And, if I’m suggesting a book, I’m of course suggesting the author, as well! Now, whether or not they would be considered ‘new’ is where the nebulousness lies. I’m sure they’re new to someone.
So… I suppose the short answer is ‘Yes’!
