Top 5 Tuesday is a fun, weekly meme that asks you to pick 5 books that fit that week’s theme. It was created by Bionic Bookworm and is currently being hosted by Meeghan Reads. You should check out their wonderful blog for more details and the list of prompts!
Hello, reader!
It’s time for another Top 5 Tuesday! Last week’s topic was all about series I wanted to start this year. This week is the opposite: series I’d like to finish in 2023! I am in the middle of… a lot of series. Like, a ridiculous amount, y’all. That means it took me a minute to trim this down to just five I wanted to feature, haha. Just know that this list is definitely not exhaustive.
That being said, let’s get to it!
#1. The Great Library series by Rachel Caine
I have been on the last book of this series for an embarrassingly long time. At this point, I probably should reread the entire series, but, funnily enough, I remember pretty much everything that has happened so far. Which, if you know me at all, is an anomaly! I just need to finally pick this up and prepare myself to say goodbye to Jess and company. It’s gonna be bittersweet.
#2. A Song of Wraiths and Ruin series by Roseanne A. Brown

The second book in this duology was on my 22 in 2022 TBR and we all know how well that went 😂 I’m still eager to pick up A Psalm of Storms and Silence, so I’m sticking it on this list. I was fascinated by the world that Roseanne A. Brown created in the first book. I’m also completely attached to the main characters, Malik and Karina. I need to know how their story ends!
#3. These Violent Delights series by Chloe Gong
These Violent Delights was my first read of 2022 and my first five star of that year. And then I just… didn’t continue. I have this bad habit of starting series and never continuing, heh. Still, this is a duology, so it’s not even like the length of the series is intimidating! I just need get my stuff together and actually pick up the last book, Our Violent Ends. I’m hoping to love the second book as much as I did the first.
#4. The Mistborn Saga by Brandon Sanderson
Yeah… I still need to read The Hero of Ages. That books has been on so many TBRs and I just keep putting it off. It’s not even that thick, when it comes to BrandoSando. And I always get sucked into his stories, even if they can sometimes start out a little slow. But I just keep shuffling this one down the pile and I don’t know why. Hopefully having it on this list will be the motivation I need to finally read it.
#5. Small Spaces series by Katherine Arden
A middle grade series I would love to finish is the Small Spaces series by Katherine Arden. There are four books and each is written for a specific season. The first book, Small Spaces, had absolutely immaculate Fall vibes and the second, Dead Voices, was centered around the chill of Winter. I have two more left to read and I’m excited to give them a go! Spring and Summer are my favorite seasons, after all.
What are your top five series you want to finish in 2023? Do you have any recommendations? Let me know in the comments!
And, as always, happy reading!
I need to read the second book to The Atlas Six series this year, The Atlas Paradox. It’s in my TBR for February 🙂

Oof, I need to finish The Great Libraries series as well. I don’t even remember which book I last read so that probably means I need to re-read the whole series because I have zero recollection of what happened. I do remember enjoying it though! I’m planning on doing a re-read of the Mistborn trilogy with Leslie who wants to finish the trilogy this year, if you want to join us? I don’t know when we’ll be doing this and obviously, it’s going to be after we read the first two books but let me know if you’re interested! Sometimes it’s nice to find buddy readers to motivate you to pick up a book, lol.

Ooo, I would love to join you and Leslie with finishing the Mistborn trilogy! That will be just the motivation I need to actually read it, haha. I already own the book, so keep me posted when y’all get around to it, please!

Haha, how you are with the Great Library series is how I am with Red Queen… Just one book left (and has been that way since it came out…) but I do remember what happened. Hope you enjoy these when you read them!! 💕
