#5OnMyTBR is a bookish meme hosted by E. @ Local Bee Hunter’s Nook where you chose five books from your to-be-read pile that fit that week’s theme. If you’d like more info, head over to the announcement post!
Hello, reader!
It’s time for another week full of working and reading, haha. This week, though, we have the added bonus (or annoyance, depending on how you feel about it) of Valentine’s Day! Which, I’m assuming, is why the theme for this week’s 5 On My TBR is love. I know this could be interpreted in a few ways, but I’m gonna go with the basic interpretation and tell you about five romance novels on my TBR that I’m eager to read.
That being said, let’s get to the list!
#1. The Henna Wars by Adiba Jaigirdar
I’m not gonna lie. The first thing that drew me to this YA contemporary romance was the cover. I mean… look at it! It’s gorgeous 😍 But I’ve heard great things about the book and the author since, so this one has rocketed up my TBR. I love the premise of two rivals falling for each other, what can I say? I’m hoping I love this one as much as I’m expecting to.
#2. Well Played by Jen DeLuca
I loved the first book in this Renaissance Faire romance series, Well Met, so much that I immediately bought the next book in the series. Annnnnd promptly stuck it on my shelf to never pick up again, lol. Still, I loved the adorable town that DeLuca created and I want to read the love stories of all the major players! So this is definitely a book I’ll be picking up sooner rather than later.
#3. Beach Read by Emily Henry
I have quite a few Emily Henry books on my TBR, if I’m honest. She’s getting to Riley Sager levels on my bookshelf (I own all of Riley Sager’s books and have read nary a one 😂). This was the first romance of hers that caught my interest, though. Probably because the main characters are both authors! That’s something I love in a story. I’ve heard her romances delve into more serious issues, as well, and I am intrigued.
#4. One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston
After reading (and loving!) Red, White & Royal Blue, this book has jumped higher on my TBR. The fact that this has a speculative element makes me even more intrigued! I’m not sure how a stuck-in-time love interest is gonna work out, but I’m interested in finding out. If it’s even half as good as RWRB, I know I’m gonna love it. (Also this cover is 😍)
#5. The Accidental Pinup by Danielle Jackson
This is another one where the cover 100% got me, lol. These adorable illustrated covers are gonna be the death of my bank account, y’all. But I love the premise of this one, as well. It features a plus-sized, Black woman and centers around photography, which is something I recently discovered I love in books (thanks, Delilah 😂) I’m looking forward to picking this one up!
What are some books featuring love on your TBR? Have you read any of the books on mine? Let me know in the comments!
And, as always, happy reading!
One Last Stop is one of my favourite books I hope you enjoy it 😊
