It’s time for another WWW Wednesday! This is a bookish meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words where bloggers answer the 3 Ws:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
If you’d like to learn more about any of these books, click on the cover to be taken to the Goodreads page.
Current Read
Witches Steeped in Gold by Ciannon Smart
If you remember seeing me talk about reading this book before, you have a good memory. I picked this up last year (or the year before… I can’t remember) and ended up DNFing it. I was 100 pages in and just so bored! The imagery was incredible, the characters were interesting, but it felt like nothing was happening. I wanted to give it another chance because I did like the writing so much. So far, the audiobook seems to be the way to go because I’m having a much better time this go-around!
Recently Finished
Bloodlaced by Courtney Maguire
This was our 9th place winner for last year’s BBNYA competition and I recently participated in a blog tour showcasing it. I didn’t get to read it during the judging, so I was excited to give it go now. I ended up rather enjoying this, though it is definitely a dark story. The writing made this book such a quick read and I thought the main character was incredible! You can read my full review here.
What’s Next
Imma be real honest with y’all… I have no idea 😂 My reading has slowed down significantly in March, so trying to think of what I want to read next when I’m in the middle of so many books is a bit too daunting at the moment. Let’s hope my reading verve comes back with the quickness because I have another readathon I want to participate in next month! Pray for me, y’all 🫠
I just finished Final Offer which I absolutely loved . I started By a thread

Glad to hear that the audiobook for Witches is much better than the physical book! That one is still sitting untouched on my shelf cos I’ve seen very poor or mixed reviews… if the audio continues to be good I might just have to check it out! Happy reading, Kerri!
