Hello, reader!

It’s been a minute since I’ve done a Book Blogger Hop. As in, I haven’t done one since October 😅 But, when I read the question for this week, I knew I wanted to join in! You’ll see why in a moment.

This Week’s Question

Do you have any bookish ornaments on your Christmas tree?

This week’s prompt submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer.

I’ve probably mentioned this before, but Hamlet is my all-time favorite Shakespeare play. I’ve read it multiple times. I’ve seen several of the adaptations. I even had a couple of monologues memorized for awhile in college for absolutely no reason. I just liked them 🤷🏾‍♀️ Years ago, my best friend told me she had to give me part of my Christmas present early. She knows I tend to be a “open presents on Christmas ONLY” kind of person, so I wondered why she was so insistent that it had to be before Christmas.

Well, this was the present:

Look at him! It’s a little tiny Hamlet ornament with a tiny skull!! I love him so much and he’s always the first ornament I hang on the tree every year 💖 I’m also the only one allowed to hang him up because he has to go in the perfect spot, lol. This BBH makes me realize that Tiny Hamlet is the only bookish ornament I own, however. I think it’s time to start rectifying this situation *nod*

If you celebrate Christmas, do you have any bookish ornaments that you put on your Christmas tree? Let me know in the comments!

And, as always, happy reading!

In Other Words #7

Happy holidays, everyone! Christmas is officially over, but the holidays aren’t quite over yet. I hope everyone has been enjoying their holidays thus far. I had one of the best Christmases I’ve had in a long while! But we’ll talk about that in a second. First, it’s time for a recap!

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Hope to Find Under the Christmas Tree

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish back in June 2010. It is currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and, as is stated on the blog, it was “born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.”

Happy Christmas Eve, y’all! I actually have the day off and I’m planning on doing a lot of relaxing with the family and just generally being lazy af. I still have presents to wrap because I’m a slacker. I’ll get to it once the kids are distracted. They’ve been on a Star Wars binge since we went and saw the newest movie, so perhaps I’ll switch on Disney+ and take advantage of that time for some intense wrapping.

Speaking of presents, this week’s TTT is all about what books you hope to find wrapped prettily beneath your Christmas tree. Now, I don’t tend to ask for books for Christmas. Weird, right? It’s probably the control freak in me, but I would rather get a gift card to, say, Barnes & Noble so I can buy whatever I’m feeling at the moment. I can also never think of a specific book I want when someone asks me because I want SO MANY BOOKS! In the spirit of this TTT, though, let’s say I finally got my stuff together and asked for some books I’ve been dying to read. Here’s my list in no particular order!
