WWW Wednesday: October 21st, 2026

Itโ€™s time for another WWW Wednesday! This is a bookish meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words where bloggers answer the 3 Ws:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think youโ€™ll read next?

If youโ€™d like to learn more about any of these books, click on the cover to be taken to the Goodreads page.

Current Reads

  • We Won’t All Survive by Kate Alice Marshall: I’m being reminded, yet again, why I’m pulling away from YA thrillers. I have to keep telling myself that these characters’ frontal lobes aren’t fully formed and that’s why they are acting like completely idiots! There have been so many moments in this story where I’ve been left scratching my head, wondering why we had to choose the most difficult way to do things. I am intrigued about what is actually going on with this “competition” in this creepy ghost town. That’s the only reason I haven’t given up! We’ll see if the pay off is worth it.
  • The Trial of Magdalena Overmorrow by Caitrรญona Moran: I just started my e-ARC of this book today. The way it begins certainly caught my attention! I can’t really say much else about it as I’m only a few pages in. I do like the writing at the moment and I want to know how we get to the titular trial, so color me intrigued. I’m looking forward to reading more!
  • Parenting at the Intersections by Jaya Ramesh and Priya Saaral: I quite literally just picked this book up today. It’s a library read that I’ve had for awhile and finally got around to cracking open. So far, I’m not sure how on-board I’m going to be… the writing is leaving me feel a little cold. But I haven’t gotten to the meat of this non-fiction, yet, so I want to keep going and see if it gets better.
