Down the TBR Hole #7

It’s time for a new round of Down the TBR Hole! This is where I go through my Goodreads ‘Want to Read’ shelf and do a bit of cleaning up. If you want to see the full description of what this post is all about, check out my first round HERE.

Alright, let’s review where we were at the end of the last round. I ended round six with 617 books on my ‘Want to Read’ shelf. Honestly, that number seems to be the norm for my TBR, lol. Every time I take books off, I somehow manage to add enough to stay right around there. Case in point, my TBR is currently sitting at 618 books. Only one added book, though, so that’s a plus! I’ve done much better this past week, haha. But now, it’s time to try to bring that number down (and keep it down).

Let’s jump into round seven!

Life of Pi by Yann Martel

I remember when this book came out and it was just everywhere. I’m going to be honest, I was first intrigued because I heard there was a tiger involved, lol. But I never picked it up because literary fiction I have a complex relationship. And then movie came out and I could not get through it. It makes me nervous to actually pick up the book. I’m still drawn towards this story, though, so I think I’ll keep it around a little bit longer.

Verdict: Keep

It Shouldn’t Happen to a Vet by James Herriot

Upon reading the synopsis of this book, I think I’ve already read it??? It says that this is the next book after All Creatures Great and Small and I read all of James Herriot’s books about his life when I was a kid! But I don’t remember this being the title… so now I’m confused. I suppose the best way to find out is to re-read it which I’m certainly not adverse to! Perhaps it’s time to re-read all of his books for nostalgic purposes.

Verdict: Keep
