It’s time for a new round of Down the TBR Hole! This is where I go through my Goodreads ‘Want to Read’ shelf and do a bit of cleaning up. If you want to see the full description of what this post is all about, check out my first round HERE.
Hello, reader!
It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Down the TBR Hole post, so I figured it was time to continue with my TBR trimming! I ended the last round with 715 books on my Want to Read shelf. Currently, I’m sitting at 716 books… which explains why I need to do these posts 😂 I will never stop adding buckets of books to my TBR, so I need to make sure I go through it on a regular basis.
That being said, let’s get to the post!
We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
The synopsis for this book is too weird for me to not want to read it! It’s also the second book I think of whenever anyone brings up Shirley Jackson. I want to get into her books, eventually, so this one gets to stick around.
Verdict: Keep
The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
Having read this author’s middle grade series, I know she is very accomplished at building an incredible atmosphere. I can only imagine the same holds true for this series and, if that’s true, I’m very eager to read it. I also own this book, so it definitely gets to stay.
Verdict: Keep
The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson
Oh, Brando Sando… I love your writing but you have SO MANY BOOKS! That being said, I still really want to start The Stormlight Archives series. Of course, this is a thicc boi and it’s just the first in a proposed ten book series, so I should probably get to it sooner rather than later 👀
Verdict: Keep
