WWW Wednesday: Jun 30, 2021

It’s time for another WWW Wednesday! This is a bookish meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words where bloggers answer the 3 Ws:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

If you’d like to learn more about any of these books, click on the cover to be taken to the Goodreads page.

Current Reads

  • Witches Steeped in Gold by Ciannon Smart: I’m reading this with a few of the folks from the Write Reads gang and, so far, I’m enjoying my time with it! Am I kind of confused? Yes. But I’m still completely sucked in by the imagery and the plot, so I’m having a good time, lol. I’ve also only completed part one as our vacation last week put me behind. You would think I would read more on vacay, but that was not the case! Either way, this is the story of two Jamaican witches who should hate each other having to work together to overthrow a common foe. I’m intrigued and excited to continue!
  • Foxglove Summer by Ben Aaronovitch: This is the fifth book in the Rivers of London series, which I have been buddy reading since the beginning of the year and loving! I think Moon Over Soho continues to be my fave, but I’m liking this one so far. Our main character, Peter, is on the case of two missing girls which, at first, doesn’t appear to be magic-related. But, of course, it wouldn’t be a Rivers of London novel without some magical funny business. I’m behind on this buddy read, as well, but what I’ve read so far, I’ve enjoyed.
